Esha Oberoi is the Founder and Co-CEO of Leora Healthcare (formerly Afea Care Services) who provides in-home and community care services across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, safe and supportive homes in properties across Western Sydney (Supported Independent Living), Plan Management and Support Coordination services to participants across Australia.
Under Esha's leadership, Afea was named an AFR Best Place to Work for four consecutive years (2021-2024). She has driven initiatives that prioritise employee well-being and inclusivity, such as providing 24/7 mental health support and launching an AI-driven platform to reduce hiring biases. Afea's all-staff survey showed that 96% feel motivated and proud to work there.
Esha's proudest accomplishments include helping a young person with schizophrenia find meaningful employment after many years of isolation, along with the opening of seven new Supported Independent Living sites in NSW and QLD within a 12-month period. These have been achieved through strengthening partnerships and advocacy, and demonstrate Esha's continued focus on innovation and inclusivity which cements her role as a trailblazer in the healthcare and disability sectors.
