Jodie has worked across the disability, aged care, and mental health sectors for 20 years. During this time she has held roles in direct support, management, operations, change leadership, and community engagement and development.
Complementing her Certificate 4 in Disability, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and current studies in a Master of Social Work, Jodie has been privileged to receive extensive training and mentoring from local and international leaders in person-centred practice, social inclusion, and asset based community development. Jodie is also a qualified Professional Supervisor, and she is Dare to Lead trained.
Over the past decade, Jodie has developed a passion for frontline workforce engagement and professional development. She is a strong advocate for the sector embracing a continuing professional development model of support for support workers, which includes professional supervision. Jodie believes this framework would respond well to the changing needs of our workforce, driven by individualised and social models of support.
